Personal Blog
Sorry to all you rabid Gees who have patiently waited so long for me to post. I hope for your sake that you found fun things to do in the meantime. You know… chillin’ with your friends, going outside… remember outside? Yeah… anyway. Got some updates for you.
First off, since I had to get the fuel injection computer fixed in my 88 Volvo fixed and it’s gonna be working for a while longer now, I’ve decided to snazz it up a bit. I got a front seat cover, its black fuzzy with a white dragon stitched on it – it looks ridiculous.
It’s awesome. I also got a steering wheel cover that is like that memory-foam pillow stuff. It molds to your hands and makes gripping the wheel better. Cheap stuff, but it makes day-to-day driving better and definitely come in hand when I drive to and from school, it’s 16 hours after all. Boo. Whatever, I can deal like a Las Vegas card shark. Wow, good one Peet, nice simile. You suck. Ha.
More importantly than my seat modifications, I got spinning rims. Ok, so they aren’t real rims, they’re just wheel covers (and 12 bucks each at that), but they look like chrome and they spin when I stop. Yes, Gees, I put spinning wheels on my 1988 Volvo 240 DL Station Wagon. Rollin’ on 14s, baby. Don’t even try to stop me. My old rims were cracking and weren’t staying on well, and these were cheap and ridiculously awesome-tastic.
The two latino dudes at AutoZone liked my idea so much they offered to install them for free and said that the only thing I owed them was to pull up and stop next to them so that they could see the rims spin for the first time. I did, and they loved it. Wherever I go now, people give me looks when I stop – I love all the different reactions. Laughter, confusion, excitement, it’s sweet.
I saw Starsky and Hutch with Drew, Jon, and Moose – but the movie was not the highlight of the evening. I stopped at Burger King right before we went to the movie, so I was about 3/4 done with my huge drink when we got to the theater. I got my ticket no problem, and then gave it to the dude at the counter. As he ripped it and gave it back, he told me that I couldn’t bring the drink in and that I’d have to finish it before we went into the theater. Immediately after, a 250lb female security guard standing right next to him repeated what the guy had said. I said (to the guy) “Sure man, I’ll finish it right here.” I walked over to the bathroom, which was being cleaned, and the guy at the cleany-station-on-wheels took one look at me and without a moment’s hesitation repeated the warning that I had just heard from the ticket taker. I told him that the other guy had just told me and that I was finishing it right there in the lobby. I continued drinking it while Jon was in line for his ridiculously-huge size popcorn, and the ridiculously-huge size security woman starting pointing at me and saying how I had to throw out the drink. I told her I was finishing it right there and I wouldn’t go into the theater with them. A minute later she goes “You know what, kid? Quit jerking around and throw out your drink.” I whipped around and said “What the hell? I’m waiting for my friend right there while he buys popcorn!” And I could tell she was getting pissed and I didn’t want any more of my drink so I trashed it. The four of us were dying at how intense they all were about bringing it into the theater despite the fact that I wasn’t resisting at all to their requests and wasn’t trying to sneak away or anything. We were surprised that Donkey Kong didn’t pull her gun on me. I love when stuff like that happens. Meanwhile, Drew snuck in his bottle of water blatantly sticking out of his back pocket without a hitch. Hi-larious. Good movie too.
I got a new computer from newegg.com it’s a Shuttle SN45G case with an Athlon XP Barton 2500+, two 160GB drives, an nVidia FX5600XT 128MB card, 512MB PC2700 DDR RAM, I love it. I bought all the pieces separately and built it myself, with two huge drives and a sweet processor and graphics card. My drives are named Juliet and Fedora, and my external drive is named Neve.
Spring break wasn’t bad; I spent a bunch of time hanging with Reilly and Keegan, primarily Keegan because of his condition. I shaved my head with him, I’ll have a picture of that as soon as Doug sends me one. I know that Keegan loved having me around, and Mimi (their mom) couldn’t stop thanking me for how much I mean to them. I love the little guys, they’re awesome. I hope my kids are as half as good as they are. I hope everyone has been and will continue to pray/root/whatever you do for Keegan.

Hey Peet,
Great to see you back "on the air" again. Also glad to hear that you had a good break. I just had to make a comment about the Volvo….you might want to consider..umm….WASHING IT occasionally!
)
And I still say that you look great with your buzzed melon..not everyone can pull that off, but it looks great on you!
