Hey, my radio show, Peety’s Playhouse is on Tuesday night – with special guest DJ Beckster! It’s gonna be a great show, all you Gees best tune in and IM me if you want a shoutout on the air. Listen live at KVDU from 8-10pm MST (figure out your timezone).
Friday was gymnastics night, and in addition to stomping two new tricks, the frontflip to frontflip half twist and brandi to backflip, Dewey and I made some sweet new clips of us in gymnaction(get it?) and a great picture of me getting so much air if I got any more gas stations would be showing up to try to charge me for it. Suckas. The coaches at the place like how fun I am and asked me if I’d like to teach one of the classes. Sounds cool, I might do it next quarter.
Last week I went back up to Keystone with Jon, Drew, Moose, and Malcolm. While we were stuck in traffic on the way up there, we saw a car on the side of the road twice and a girl hanging over the guard rail puking. The second time we saw her I put the window down and asked if she overdid it the night before, and she said she partied way too hard. Good times. I met my partner in crime Colin there… it was his first time snowboarding ever. Since I am just such an amazing friend, I spent the day teaching him to ride that thin plank of wood, fiberglass, and metal we call a snowboard. Now, keep in mind, Colin is 6’5… so there is a lot of him to control on a board. At the beginning of the day, he was just terrible. Stand up, bam… fall. Up, bam, right on his ass. I started giving him tips and stuff on how to stabilize himself and soon enough he was riding a few feet without falling. The rest of the day I taught him how to carve and he got a million times better. I was very proud of myself and him because of all the progress we made. I knew he could do it – he’s got good agility, especially for his size, and balance too… he’s a hip hop dancing robot, much like myself. So that was fun.
When we got back, we were starving, so we went to Hong Kong café and got sesame chicken. We asked for more rice and water like 9 times because the semi-mullet lady wouldn’t give us enough, and one time she completely missed Drew’s glass and poured water alllll over the table. This wasn’t like a quick slip up… she held it over the middle of the table for a good three seconds before realizing what she was doing and casually moved it over Drew’s glass and filled it and walked away. We all burst out laughing for a solid 5 minutes. I always seem to have a great time with those crazy kids.
This Saturday we went to Breckenridge with Sarah, the self-proclaimed “Old Horse”… yeah. Anyway, we went past the parking lot and turned into another one, and noticed there was a little bump in between them so we tried to drive over it to get into the right lot. Yeah…. We totally got the Navigator stuck on top of a big icy rock catastrophe. We were right next to the police station and got a cop to call a tow truck who pulled us outta there. Good thing we left so early for the mountain. Sarah took the wrong lift to the top and would only do one run over and over, and Drew and I went to Peak 9 and couldn’t find her because of her mistake. We later found her and she told us how worried she was and was crying and puked at the top of the lift. WHAT? She lost us and freaked over something when she knew we’d come find her. Weird.
Drew and I wanted some dope jump pictures, so he was positioned right at the end of a jump, and I hit it, got some air, and he told me he missed the shot, so I walked back up and did it again. This time right as I jumped, the nose of my board clipped a rock sticking up out of the snow and I went head over heels. I landed pretty hard, but only got the wind knocked outta me. My board was a little bent but looked ok. We went to the bottom and upon further inspection, I found that my board’s layers had split a little. Damnit. The dudes at the stop said I’d have to get it epoxy-ed so I’m going to take it in to get it fixed soon. Boo… I love my board!
When we got back, I went to a concert with Jon and Moose. It was Dynamite Boy, Matchbook Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Mest. It rocked! Jon used to play in a band with the tour manager of Matchbook, so we got in free and got to chill back/sidestage. I met all the bands except for Mest, who disappeared onto their bus with several girls (one is a friend of mine) to run around half naked and do coke. For real. Anyway, Pat the lead singer from Fall Out Boy was a great kid, he and I talked a bit after the show. FOB is from Chicago so we bonded, and ending up singing R Kelly together. Rock! Afterwards we went to Perkins and who shows up? Matchbook Romance! The lead singer used to date a girl on my floor so she was with them and we had dinner with them. Nice dudes.
Damn, that was an eventful two weeks. I hate my Physics class.

I would have responded sooner, but I know you don’t really like it that much when I write on here. But here goes nothing..
I can’t believe what you guys did with that Navigator! Thats sick! I actually did that one time with my car, but it was in a regular parking lot and I high-centered it over one of those concrete curb thingys. How embarassing.
Sweet blog Peety. I’m SO jealous of how close you are to such great skiing. I hope you know how lucky you are!
