….For all you Conan freaks who love my site. Dan and Kevbo with the man himself. Jealous? I’m gonna meet him this summer with Danno. What’s up now?
Thanks to David Deneke for a gift certificate to Amazon – you ROCK dude! Having people email me with a gift certificate or something and “Dude, your site cracks me up, and you don’t get naked! Way to go!” is the coolest thing ever. I’m gonna make a special page thanking the coolest visitors of my site.

This post is just to keep you guys entertained for another day or two. I’m working on my next post, but it’s taking forever and I ended up taking 256 pictures on my way home. Stay tuned…

just a week

Monday, March 17th, 2003

Lennart Sjoholm from Sweden bought me two CDs from my wishlist! HE IS THE MAN! He didn’t IM me asking for naked cam shows or anything weird like that, he just digs my site and bought me two CDs with the note “Thanks for your site! Enjoy!”. You rock, Lennart! THANK YOU!!!
I know I haven’t posted in a while… I’ve been waiting for this Wednesday. I go home for spring break from the 19th to the 25th (that’s right, Wednesday to Tuesday). How messed up is that? Anyway, I’m going home for the week and working almost every day. Yaaaay. Whatever. There are only a few people back home I wanna(and can) see right now – Josh and Xaq. I don’t even think anyone else is home. But whatever… I’m gonna make some money, be able to use fast internet at home(I already made a list of albums I’m gonna download), sleep in my own bed, use laundry machines that actually WASH and DRY my clothes, and buy some socks. Yeah, I need socks… I’ve worn holes in most of the heels of my socks, and I need some really thick socks for snowboarding. Oh yeah, and I need to get my snowboard boot fixed. Ok, this post is becoming a to-do list.
I’m on a 6:30pm flight home on Wednesday, I booked that flight early because I didn’t know exactly when my finals would over with earlier in the year. I don’t wanna sit around all day here on Wednesday, so I’m going to the airport early to try to get on some morning flights. The first one is at 8am- I told the shuttle guy that I needed to be at the airport by 7am. He’s like “Ok, Peet, the shuttle will pick you up in front of your building at 4:30.” 4:30am to be at the airport at 7! I’m prolly just not gonna go to sleep on Tuesday nite. Colin says that he knows for sure that I’ll go to sleep… I dunno. Maybe. We’ll see.
Today I sold back my books to the DU bookstore. I got like $32 for 6 books. WEEEEak. Everything was on sale there though, so I bought a sweet hat. What do you think?
**UPDATE: The Denver International FREAKING Airport was CLOSED all day because of the snow. We have 4 FEET of snow here. Tons of flights were cancelled, including mine. Like 4000 people were stuck at the airport overnight. Yikes! I’m glad I didn’t end up stuck at the airport alllll day. That woulda sucked. Today I took tons of pics of me and the boys jumping off the parking structure. It was nuts. Tomorrow I hope to get on a flight at around 6:30pm and go the f HOME. I’ll post again soon

On Thursday or Friday, I’ll post a ‘going-home’ story with lots of pictures like I always do. Until then, gimme a shout, make me a fansign (ladies only!), check out my wishlist, I dunno. Something.

Oh yeah – I’ve been going live on my webcam a LOT lately, so check my site if you want to see me. If the top webcam image has ‘LIVE RIGHT NOW’ in it, chances are very good that I’m live. I’ve gotta finish up two of my take-home finals today, so I’ll be live for most of the afternoon while I type ‘em up. Marvel at my concentrated facial expressions, laugh when I’m so bored of writing that I almost fall asleep at my laptop, and cry when I give up on one of my finals and get a D in Globalization class. Just kidding.

oreo to the rescue

Saturday, March 8th, 2003

Our dining hall is pretty good. We’ve got a really nice grill area where my crew and I frequently go for burgers, chicken, and the like. There is also a little area where the food changes every day. Some days it’s deeelICIOUS brisket(I’ve actually asked my mom to make this for me the first day I go home for spring break March 19th), and some days it’s disgusting tofu stir fry. We’ve also got some decent pizza and a salad bar, and of course, Mountain Dew on tap. Usually the desert table is filled with overcooked cookies that kinda suck. A few days ago, there was this bowl full of oreo…. something. I don’t know exactly what it was, it was like oreo bits mixed with whipped cream or something, I’m not sure. But LOOK AT IT! It was one of the yummiest things I’ve had here. I had to fill a to-go box with it and eat it over the next few days (don’t worry, my room has a fridge). Damn, I should update that picture, because my wall has a lot more cool crap on it, and xmas lights and stuff. I’ll wait to update it because next quarter I might either have a single or Britt might move in here. Eric’s roommate John is moving outta here, so my roommate Googs might move in with him, so Britt will either move in here or I’ll have the whole damn room to myself! As the song that I’m listening to right now (Atliens) would say, “Everybody lemme hear ya say o-yay-er..” So that’ll rock.
Oh man, last week I went to Safeway to restock my fridge with various store-brand sodas with such clever titles as “Mountain Breeze”, and my favorite marketing powerhouse, “Punch”. I stupidly bought 3 12 cases because of the amazing take-advantage-of-poor-college-kids price, 2 for $4. I mean, come on… that’s a sweet price. 36 cans of mediocre soda for $6? Pretty slick. Anyway, I also bought some store brand reeses peanut butter cups and some actual Ritz cheese mini-sandwich crackers. I had to walk about 6 long blocks with all of this crap. It was nice outside, and I wore my leather jacket. “Oh, Peet, a leather jacket? I thought you said you were a poor college student!” Watch it, sucka. I bought my leather jacket at the thrift store for $10 and it has little white paint speckles all over it. Anyway, I had to carry my two bags on the underside of my forearms to leave my hands open for the remaining 12 pack. That crap put to damn much pressure on my arms, when I finally put all the stuff down in my dorm room, my arms and hands were shaking. I guess I was pinching nerves or something. It was so weird – I couldn’t even type or anything. That sucked.
Friday(yesterday), Brizzy and I went to Breckenridge sans Dan again. It was SO fun! We found some new runs and did them all day. I’m getting a lot better – I was landing and riding away clean on front and backside 180s all day. I fell on a few of them, but since I did gymnastics (and the fact that I’ve got superhuman agility cuz I’m Spiderman) then when I fall I can turn it into a roll or slide or someting. It never hurts anymore… it’s actually really fun. I usually end up on my back, sliding down the hill cracking up, with Britt waiting for and laughing at me. This time we went and it was the best snowboarding conditions we’ve had so far – it was 42 degrees and sunny. Really nice. In the spring we’ll be able to drive up to the mountains with the top down in Brizzy’s Wrangler.
Speaking of nice weather, today it was 62 and beautiful out! For the last few weeks, it’s been pretty chilly, so today when it was warm and sunny EVERYONE was outside chillin’, and I played some frisbee with Molly and Natalie and some guys. Man, it was so nice outside. I almost wish it wasn’t gonna stay this sweet outside because no one is ever going to want to do any homework. Oh well.
Right now I’m sitting in Britt’s room with a bunch of drunk kids… ick. I’m so sick of hanging out with kids who get wasted and yell at each other every weekend. I might try out for some comedic performance thingie next week at the LaMont building. I just need to find a good monologue… maybe I’ll use my ‘make a difference with starfish’ story. Yeah, it sounds weird… maybe I’ll post it one of these days. Well, we’re going to a party. This has been your neighborhood friendly DJ Peety. Go out and have fun.
