halloween = yay

Wednesday, October 31st, 2001

Yeeeeeah! It’s Halloweeeeeen! My favorite holiday – Halloween rocks a whole lot. I was surprised at how many people weren’t dressed up at school – what, are you too cool to take advantage of the one day of the year that everyone wears crazy costumes? I bet you’re really fun at parties. Punk.

Well right now I’m waiting for Schmike to call so we(and a huge group of kids) can go out trick or treating and making general mischief. It’s gonna be a crazy time. Well, I had my graphic design teacher take some snapshots of me, JC, and Johnny today in class. Note: I don’t know exactly what my costume was, JC was an undercover cop(he wore normal clothes but had handcuffs) and I said Johnny was Spaceman J. Check it out. boo…

Sunday, October 28th, 2001

Do I mean “boo” like scary halloween-time boo, or am I saying boo in protest that I had to work today and there was no schedule posted.

Boo!

Anyway, I had to work all day yesterday and so I was happy to have a nice, relaxing day when I could chill and get some schoolwork done. This morning at around 11 o’clock I’m in the middle of watching some great movie and eating my famous chocolate chip pancakes that I made, and suddenly Kent calls from CompUSA telling me that I had to work today. I was PISSED. It wasn’t my fault that I hadn’t come in because no one posted a schedule so everyone was late this morning. The whole day was really busy because our ad comes out every Sunday so a million people pile in the store and buy all the stuff that has rebates so you end up getting lots of crappy items for close to nothing. Weee.

I bought Eric and his brother a new Powerbook power adapter and I bought myself a cool new 4-port USB Hub. It’s super groovy and I got it for 20 bucks! I am very pleased. Belkin makes good stuff.

You probably noticed the new frames – I’m still working on them a lot. I’m gonna add a bunch of cool crap to them really soon(prolly later this week) so keep checkin’ back.

Ooh, I made a new friend. Go check out Tye Online – sweet layout and a helluva nice webmaster.

Damn, I really need to update more often.

I’m the lighting technician at my school for the Tumblers Show – it’s basically a dance show integrated with gymnastics choreography provided by the 6-8 girls (out of 22) that have tumbling ability. The majority of the people in it are dancers with basic gymnastics skills. The thing is, I’m more of a gymnast than most of the girls in the show – I use the mat to practice whenever they aren’t running through a number, and when one of them sees me do soemthing like a roundoff back handspring to back flip, they’re amazed that the guy who is doing the lights is a better tumbler than they are. The looks on their faces are simply *priceless*.

My girlfriend and I keep having the same stupid fight over and over. We misunderstand every point that we make to each other, and it just goes in this big circle… so I think we’re gonna not talk about it for a while and see what happens. “Peet this sounds like you two just shouldn’t be together.” Dude, shutup. I’m not gonna start talking about how serious or not-serious our relationship is, let’s just say I like her a whole lot better than I like you. =p

Love you C.

I would link this one guy, but he sucks. So I removed his link.

Listening to: Linkin Park – Pushing Me Away

So right now Eric is staying at my house. We have been so lazy…just chillin’ and watching tv and eating our big cookie and drinking Code Red! Mountain Dew Code Red is so damn good. We also watched Unbreakable – really good flick. It is a little disturbing in a few parts, but it’s only gonna bad if you can’t handle that. So toughen up! Has anyone seen Run Lola Run? Some of the scenes are a little bit like the flashes in Lola – which is, by the way, a movie everyone should see. It’s *so* cool. So Eric just bought the Daft Punk and Linkin Park CDs and weve been listening to them a lot today. Really quality! Go get em!

Oh yeah, I talked to U of Denver about dropping AP Honors Spanish and they said it would be fine – I already have 4 years of level 1 Spanish and another year isn’t necessary. So I dropped my Spanish class and now I’m going to do an independent study with the technology administrator at school in Web Design. Maybe my site won’t be so craptastic soon! Hope, my child…..simply hope.

Listening to: Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger(holy crap this song freakin’ kicks)

Dude, sweet! Sweet, dude! So yesterday at my school we had this thing where you have already sent in your application to a school early, and then some reps from the schools come and tell you whether or not you made it in. I was accepted to all three(you can only apply to 3 early through this program), Indiana University(a backup), University of Colorado, and U of DENVER! My number one choice not only admitted me, but it was the dean of admissions that interviewed me and she kept telling me how excited she was to meet me! She and the rep had been reading my essay to each other in the car, asking me about my Florida trip, breakdancing, lots of good stuff. She even mentioned the words “awesome scholarship” – and I was like “are you serious!?” and she said “yes, definitley.” So I’m really stoked. Let’s see, my parents are going to North Carolina this Friday and coming back on Tuesday, and Eric is coming to stay with me. It’s gonna be freakin’ awesome!

Listening to: Busta Rhymes – Rhymes Galore

So Saturday was Homecoming and I worked at the dance. I’m on stage crew so I did the lights… there is sort of a long story as to why I didn’t have a date, because I did, but I’m not going to try to explain it all out. I could have gone with her, but it didn’t matter that much and we agreed that it would be better for me to make some cash and then have us go out to a nice dinner rather than waste tons of money on one stupid nite. I got to go to the dance and get down most of the nite anyway – the light board was almost always taken care of.
I dance battled this kid named James that I battled at homecoming a few years ago. It was sweet – we both did really well and got a huge circle around us – damn fun!
Oh yeah, a big highlight of the nite – near the end, when there were about 50 people still dancing, I was falling asleep at the light board (which was right next to the dance floor) because I had been working and dancing for so long, but then I heard it: Pop by NSYNC. I *had* to get up and bust a move – and I did. I was groovin’ for most of the song, mouthing the words and what not, and then it came. The dance break sequence. You know, the part of the video where they are all changing clothes as they dance? Well, I know the whole thing and I performed it for everyone. It was SWEET.

Do you have a crappy ass WinTel just like everyone else? Check out Apple and learn the ways of good instead of evil.

zoolander

Monday, October 8th, 2001

Hey, cool… I get to be a movie critic now. So I saw Zoolander the other nite with Ed. It got very mixed reviews – dumb, most unfunny movie ever, hilarious, silly, and now I get to weigh in with my 2 cents.

Look, if you are a fun-loving teenager who is willing to let their guard down and laugh at something stupid, go see it. it’s a stupid, funny, silly movie that made me laugh out loud many times. Ben Stiller is hilarious, and Will Ferrell was great. The movie as a whole was pretty dumb, but it was filled with hysterical little touches that didn’t stop coming. So if you’re not too intelligent to laugh at something that isn’t in the finest taste or isn’t referencing something that 6 people in the world will understand – go see Zoolander. It’s a very forgettable flick with lots of great one-liners and while it isn’t worth the $8+ that you’ll have to pay for it, but it was worth the $3.50 that I did (our theater has $3.50 tickets for students). So go have a laugh with your buddies.

Hey guess what – HamsterStyle is back! Go check out the site – it’s one of the best out there.

Hey, remember that Justin Timberlake Lookalike contest I won? Well, I finally scanned some of the pictures that Eric and I took – and I put some of them up in a gallery! Remember, the gallery isn’t done – I still am going to get more pictures from Eric soon. Go check out the new gallery!!

Did I bore you with my entry? Go check out Andy’s site. He’s a smooth-talkin’ soccer player, and danger seems to follow him wherever he goes.

Listening to: Sum 41 – Makes No Difference

Damnit…. nothing really cool happened this week (yet). I did get the Dane Cook CD and it is absolutely hysterical. You all must go discover this awesome stand up comedian for yourself and then go buy his album. You will not be disappointed.

I just downloaded most of Season 3 of Jackass…. what a great show. What most people don’t konw is that Jackass started many years ago, with a film by Bam Margera (pro skater and co-host of Jackass) called CKY – Camp Kill Yourself. CKY (aka Landspeed) was a film that Bam and his friends made, and it’s just like Jackass but they do much crazier stuff because it doesn’t have to be censored for television. CKY is also filled with a lot of great skating sessions from Bam and the crew. CKY2k came out a few years ago and is even better than the first movie. Note: Johnny Knoxville is not in either of these films – he was not the creator of CKY and Jackass. You can go out and buy CKY and CKY2k at most skate shops – you won’t find them at most video stores because they are sort of underground and not widely popular. Go out and buy them!

So I’ve been chillin’ with Carley a lot recently… what a cool chick. She and I have so much fun together… I feel like I’m with one of my boys when I’m with her. Seriously, guys, when you’re sitting on the couch watching TV, how many of the girls that you know would check the ‘What’s On TV’ channel for ESPN2 then look all excited and ask, “Hey, do you wanna watch the X-Games?!” Ahh…. Carley…. such a fun girl.

Well, I’m gonna go out and see if I can go participate in some crazy activities so I’ll actually have something to post about.

Did I bore you with my entry? Go check out Kalen‘s site. She’s a cute southern chickie with a lot to say. =D
